How do I know that my Pixel Kit is charging and is fully charged?
There should be an amber light at the back of the Pixel Kit indicating that the device is charging. The Kano App will display the Pixel Kit's battery life (%) when it is connected. When the kit is fully charged, there will be a green light on the back of the board.
Can I charge the Pixel Kit using a wall socket?
You can charge the Pixel Kit using a wall socket, it'll charge faster this way!
What computers is the Kano App available on?
The Kano App is available on Mac OS (macOS version 10.9 or above) and Windows (Windows 7 or above, must be 64-bit). The app is also pre-installed onto Kano OS, so if you have one of our Computer Kits, you'll be able to code the Pixel Kit through the "Pixel Kit" app on your dashboard.
Does the Pixel Kit have a speaker?
The Pixel Kit does not have an onboard speaker. Any speaker blocks you use on the Kano App will play sound out of the current playback device of your computer.
Why doesn't the Kano App recognize my Pixel Kit?
You can try restarting the Kano App, rebooting the Pixel Kit, re-plugging the USB cable, and trying a different USB cable. If you're still not having any luck, submit a request.
Do I need to use the Kano Code App?
You can use your Pixel Kit on its own to play the preset games and light shows, but if you want to code with it, you'll need to use the Kano App!
A piece has broken off my Pixel Kit, what do I do?
