There are many different versions of OSX / MacOS available. We've noticed that some are using an out of date driver that may not allow your Pixel Kit to complete an update.
Help is at hand, though! Just follow the steps below.
Unplug Pixel Kit
Power down your Pixel Kit and remove the red USB cable from your Apple computer. You can also close the Kano App.
We're going to use some special software called an FTDI driver to allow the Pixel Kit to talk to your computer. Download the driver directly from here:
Open the file and double click the FTDIUSBSerial.pkg:
Follow the on-screen instructions and agree to the licenses:
Enter your computer's password if prompted:
Installation should take about five minutes:
Your computer now has the new driver installed, but will need to reboot to start using it:
After the reboot, plug your Pixel Kit back into your computer and start the Kano App!
