The Harry Potter Coding Kit uses 2 x AAA batteries. Your kit will come with two included!
When it's time to replace the batteries, we strongly recommend using a high quality battery from a manufacturer such as Energizer, Duracell, Panasonic, or Eveready. You can also use rechargeable batteries - read more about this option here. You should change both batteries at the same time for best performance. Do not mix old and new batteries.
All those sensors, buzzers, and chips inside your Harry Potter Coding Kit talk to your tablet or computer dozens of times a second.
High quality batteries will provide 6 uninterrupted hours of play. This may vary based on your use of the product.
When you leave the device in-active for several minutes, it will put itself into standby mode. Your batteries are able to provide 200-300 hours of standby charge.
We recommend removing the batteries if you aren't planning on using the kit for a few days to help them last longer.
Nothing is more important to us than your safety. When inserting new batteries always make sure that they are placed in the correct orientation. Failure to do so may cause the device to overheat and damage the product. Refer to the diagram in your storybook if unsure at any time.
