The keyboard can work with your Kano Computer as well as Windows, Mac OSX and Linux computers! Connect the keyboard by removing the white dongle from the reverse of the keyboard...
...and insert it into a USB port on your computer.
That's it! Turn your keyboard on and get typing!

Bluetooth

Troubleshooting Keyboard Connectivity
Many common keyboard problems can be resolved with a keyboard reset. There is a small hole near the Bluetooth button along the top edge of the keyboard. Use a pin to push the button inside the hole for about 5 seconds:

Charge the Keyboard
If the green light on the keyboard is flashing very quickly, then it's time to charge your keyboard!
Charging the keyboard is easy, because the charging cable is built in! Simply turn the keyboard over and plug the red USB cable into the power plug or your computer.
A red light will appear on trackpad. This indicates that the keyboard is now charging. When it is fully charged, the red light will turn off (a full charge from empty takes around 4 hours).
Re-Link Keyboard + Radio Dongle
If your keyboard and white radio dongle aren't talking to each other, you can reset them really easily. Here's how:
- Make sure that the white radio dongle is not connected to the Raspberry Pi.
- Turn Off your Kano Keyboard.
- Press and hold down the Esc key while turning the keyboard On using the On/Off button.
- Release the Esc key and the green light should flash quickly.
- Plug your white USB radio dongle into your computer. The green light will turn solid when the linking is successful.
Keyboard Tips + Tricks
The Kano Keyboard has lots of neat features. Here's a list of key combos you can use to turn them on and off:
