My app froze! Something isn't working right.
Kano is a coding tool and can offer up unexpected behaviors as you dive into the machine. Most problems can be solved by restarting the app. On Android or iOS, this is as simple as going to your open apps tray and flicking away the Kano app. On Mac and PC, just close the window. When you reopen, make sure to follow the steps, to stay on course with your code.
If your app keeps freezing, try updating it or re-downloading from the Kano App Page.
A code block isn't working!
Try saving your creation, exiting the Kano Code editor by clicking the orange back button, then loading it up again.
I’m stuck in a challenge and the tips won't go forward!
Try deleting blocks one by one until the tip moves forward. If that fails try deleting all the blocks. If that fails, click on the orange arrow in the top left to exit, and restart the challenge.
Make sure you hit the NEXT button when it’s present.
Still having trouble? We've got you covered. Download this file and you'll have access to the completed code for every challenge within the app for your Harry Potter Coding Kit (don't worry, we won't tell if you don't 😉).
Once you've downloaded the .zip file, you'll just need to unzip it to find the .kcode files for each individual challenge.
To import these .kcode files, head into the challenge, click the gear ⚙ icon, then 'Import'. Find the file for the challenge you're stuck on and import the file into the app. You should then be able to continue on your adventure!
If you're still having problems with the Kano Code App, submit a request here and we will have you back up and running in no time.
