To recenter your Coding Wand cursor – the little + symbol – click the action button on the top of the Coding Wand once. As long as you’re moving the cursor, the Coding Wand is sending its X, Y, twist data, and more to the screen, and you can code and create with it.
Make sure that before you try to cast a spell motion, you re-center your Coding Wand. After it's re-centered, you will have better control.
To cast a spell motion, hold down the action button, carefully make the motion, and then release the button at the end of the motion. Big shapes are better.
Any code you’ve put in a “When [gesture]” code block will be triggered!
There are over 30 gestures to choose from that can trigger all sorts of effects.
What else can my Coding Wand do?
Your Coding Wand can rumble and flash in many colors. You can wave it to make effects on screen, or trigger a spell motion by holding down the action button, waving, and releasing, to unlock even more cool effects.

Can I also twist it to make effects?
Yes! Head into the Coding Wand blocks, and pick up the rotation block, and change it to “roll.” As you twist clockwise and anti-clockwise, you can change the pitch of a song, gravity, color, size, or almost anything else.
How do I turn the Coding Wand ON/OFF?
Your Coding Wand will fall asleep when not in use and can be picked up and woken up immediately, by pressing the button on the top.
In this deep sleep, it can last at least two weeks.
To make it last longer, turn your Coding Wand off completely by pressing the trapezoid-shaped button on the bottom of the wand, opening up the back with your other hand, and taking the batteries out of the PCB brain inside. You can store the Coding Wand and its batteries in its box.
